AQA Traffic Lights

I have spent some time with pupils who would like to have a reference point of everything (!) they need to know for the Spanish GCSE.

I have therefore created this document to allow them to traffic light their learning and to allow me to focus the revision session more effectively before the exams.

I am hoping they will be able to work through this in a couple of minutes to allow me to create a revision task list from the exam papers.

If you would like a copy of this document in full please contact me via Twitter

French Word Banquet

After struggling with vocabulary and structure of work at KS4. I decided to use a cheap roll of paper for pupils to write all the words they know about Free time & Media. I then split the class into 4 groups. I decided to use paper tablecloths to brainstorm key vocabulary for different areas of a topic.

We then used paper plates to collect any useful words to be used. The pupils found this really good fun. It provoked good discussion about which words were better than others.
It was a nice way of checking retention of vocabulary. They were not able to use their books. I have a couple of photos of their plates which were organised any way they wanted.  They are not perfect, but I think they began to understand what was needed.
This would be a useful activity before the reading and listening exams as they would be looking and listening to lots of vocabulary.
